For the third time this season, San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has been nominated for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week Award. This nomination comes after the Niners' 51-13 Week 8 victory over the Carolina Panthers.

Bosa finished the game with four tackles, three for a loss, a career-high three sacks, a pass defensed, and even had an interception off Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen. He became the third rookie to have at least three sacks and an interception in a single game since 1982 when the individual sack became an official statistic.

The other award nominees are Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew, New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery, and Jacksonville Jaguars edge rusher Josh Allen.
