The San Francisco 49ers' Pro Bowl tight end, George Kittle, left Thursday night's game against the Arizona Cardinals after taking a helmet from an opposing player to the knee. He remained down on the field, banging his fist into the grass in discomfort.

Kittle was able to walk off the field under his own power. He was examined in the medical tent before exiting and putting his helmet back on. Kittle could be seen jogging along the sideline, which is a good indication that the injury isn't too serious.

The 49ers currently trail the Cardinals 7-0 at State Farm Stadium.

Ross Dwelley is the 49ers' only remaining healthy tight end. Levine Toilolo has been dealing with a groin injury this week and was limited in the team's two walkthroughs. He entered the game listed as "questionable" to play.

Defensive lineman Arik Armstead also left the game and was seen on the sideline being examined by the medical staff.

Update: Several reporters are noting that it looks like Armstead might be battling an illness.
