When you think of Beathard, a comparison to Wilson probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind. It turns out, mimicking the Seahawks quarterback can be dangerous, cornerback Richard Sherman revealed on Friday.
"C.J. strained his back doing it yesterday, so it was Nick (Mullens mimicking Wilson with the scout team) today," Sherman said while smiling. "You all can talk to C.J. about that. That was pretty funny."
Then Sherman corrected himself.
"Well, it's not funny because he hurt himself, but it was like, 'That's not your game,'" he added.
Beathard's name did not appear on Friday's injury/participation report, so it sounds like he is fine.
Sherman also discussed Wilson's impressive 2019 campaign and was asked if the quarterback looks like a league MVP to him.
"He's making great throws," Sherman said. "His receivers are catching. Him and (Tyler) Lockett have a great connection. They're doing a hell of a job. They've been efficient. They've won some close games. They've battled through, and he's been a big reason."
