The San Francisco 49ers suffered their first loss of the season last night, a heartbreaking last-second defeat to the Seattle Seahawks in overtime, and have vowed to improve.

Cornerback Richard Sherman called the loss a "learning experience."

"Guys battled," Sherman told reporters after the game." We had a chance to win it. But we've got to play better on both sides of the ball, all three phases, we've got to play better football."

Said quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo: "I think we've got a good group of guys in there with the mindset. We're going to come into work tomorrow and fight."

Several players also shared their thoughts on the loss via Twitter.

Sherman also shared concern for his current and former teammates who suffered leg injuries in the game — Ronald Blair and Tyler Lockett.

And injured 49ers linebacker, Kwon Alexander, who is out for the season with a pectoral injury, was proud of his teammates' efforts.
