Matt Breida left Monday night's loss to the Seattle Seahawks with a sprained ankle, which could force the San Francisco 49ers running back to miss "some time" as it heals, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Breida will reportedly seek a second opinion. The good news is that Pelissero notes that the injury doesn't sound too serious.

Breida has carried the football 109 times for 542 yards with a rushing touchdown while adding 16 receptions for 110 yards with a receiving touchdown through nine games and five starts this season, his third with the 49ers and in the NFL.

The 49ers signed Breida as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Southern in 2017.

Pelissero also notes that center Weston Richburg, who left the game with a hand injury but returned, is fine and won't miss any playing time.
