On Monday night, San Francisco 49ers left tackle Joe Staley made his return from a fractured fibula. The veteran offensive lineman suffered another setback during the 27-24 overtime loss.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed via a conference call on Tuesday that Staley suffered a fractured finger, which may require surgery. The offensive lineman is seeking a second opinion.

"He got out of the game fine with his leg," Shanahan said, "but he ended up having a finger fracture/dislocation. Right now, he's getting a second opinion on it, and we'll have more on that tomorrow, but surgery could be a possibility."

The good news is that Staley might only miss a couple of weeks due to the new injury. His replacement since Week 2, rookie Justin Skule, played well in the veteran's absence.
