TE George Kittle (knee, ankle) didn't practice on Wednesday. Sunday night was his first game back after being injured on October 31 against the Arizona Cardinals. Following the win over the Green Bay Packers, Shanahan provided more details on Kittle's injury, which you can read about here.
Kittle did not re-aggravate the injuries. The 49ers are just being cautious with their Pro Bowl tight end by holding him out of practice — at least for Wednesday.
"He definitely can't go every day with the stuff he's got," head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters before practice.
DE Dee Ford (quadricep, hamstring) and OT Joe Staley (finger) were the other two players who did not practice. Shanahan was asked if there is still a chance that Ford could play on Sunday.
"Yes, there is," he responded.
As for Staley, Shanahan wants to make sure the veteran offensive lineman is comfortable enough to practice before throwing him in there. The tackle underwent surgery to repair his fractured finger following Week 10's loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
"He's getting right to where he could be healthy enough to go or to at least where it's protected, and how he's feeling from the other stuff that's lingering from last time, too," Shanahan said.
That "other stuff" is the fractured fibula Staley suffered during Week 2.
Added Shanahan: "I think he's got a chance to go tomorrow, but we'll see. We're taking it day by day."
WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder) and WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) were limited. K Robbie Gould was a full participant after missing the last three games with a right quadricep injury suffered during practice following the 49ers' Week 9 game against the Cardinals.
Other news coming out of Wednesday's practice is that WR Dante Pettis reportedly exited early with an apparent left knee injury. His status is unknown.
Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Ravens, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
