Tartt is in his fifth NFL season after the 49ers made him a second-round pick out of Samford in 2015. The safety entered Sunday's game having racked up 45 tackles, half a sack, two passes defensed, and a forced fumble through 11 games.
Tartt had three tackles in Sunday's game against the Ravens before going down with the injury, and was replaced by Marcell Harris.
Two plays after entering the game for Tartt, Harris forced a fumble by Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and recovered the football for the 49ers.
Baltimore currently leads San Francisco 17-14.
