San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman was walking around with a pretty significant limp following Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He left the field in the fourth quarter but was able to return to the game.

Sherman suffered a right knee sprain, which left him in some pain and forced him to exit the game briefly.

"My knee kind of gave out on me," Sherman told reporters. "A lot of pain. I just tried to get off the field, and not have us waste a time out."

The 49ers will likely be cautious with Sherman during the upcoming week of practices, but the cornerback plans to be ready for next weekend's NFC showdown against the Saints in New Orleans. Both teams are 10-2.

"I'll be ready," Sherman told reporters. "I'm an old man. Sometimes it takes a second. I may not practice every day this week, but I'll be ready to go Sunday."
