The 49ers officially placed Street on injured reserve on September 1. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee. Street was eligible to return any time after Week 8.
San Francisco made Street a fourth-round draft pick out of NC State last year despite the defensive lineman coming off of an ACL injury. He has not yet played in a regular-season game.
"Kentavius, he's battled through his knee all year," head coach Kyle Shanahan said in August. "He's had some knee tendinitis throughout camp and stuff."
San Francisco has had some recent bad luck on the injury front along the defensive line. The 49ers placed defensive end Ronald Blair (ACL) on injured reserve on November 12 and defensive end Damontre Moore's (fractured forearm) season officially ended on November 27.
Shanahan revealed this week that defensive end Jullian Taylor will miss at least a couple of weeks due to a ligament issue in his elbow.
Defensive end Dee Ford has been dealing with quadricep and hamstring issues and has been inactive the past two games. Defensive tackle D.J. Jones exited Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens after suffering an ankle sprain and is day-to-day.
