Jerry Rice is considered to be the greatest ever to play the position and among the 10 receivers named to the NFL 100 All-Time Team. He holds most of the league's receiving records, including the most career receiving yards (22,895), receptions (1,549), touchdown receptions (197), and most seasons of 1,000-or-more receiving yards (14).
Rice spent 16 seasons with San Francisco after the team made him the No. 16 overall pick in 1985, and won three Super Bowls with the team. He was the Super Bowl XXIII MVP, was named to 13 Pro Bowls, and is a 10-time first-team All-Pro. Rice was also part of the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team.
Rice was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2010.
The other receivers on the NFL 100 All-Time Team are Lance Alworth, Raymond Berry, Larry Fitzgerald, Marvin Harrison, Elroy Hirsch, Don Hutson, Steve Largent, Randy Moss, and Paul Warfield.
Moss spent one season (2012), his last in the NFL, with the 49ers. The Hall of Fame receiver was selected to six Pro Bowls and was a four-time first-team All-Pro over his 14-year career.
The NFL 100 All-Time Team is made up of a roster of 100 players and 10 coaches deemed "the greatest" at their respective positions. NFL Network is unveiling the roster over six-weeks. A 26-person voting panel made up of coaches, team executives, former players, and members of the media are deciding who makes it onto the NFL 100 All-Time Team.
H/t to Patrick Tulini for the find.
