The late Walsh coached the 49ers from 1979 until 1988 and brought three Super Bowl championships (XVI, XIX, XXIII) to San Francisco. He was twice named NFL coach of the year (1981, 1984) and was part of the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team.
Walsh boasted an all-time winning percentage of .609, owned a 92-59-1 record, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 1993. He passed away in 2007 at the age of 75.
The NFL 100 All-Time Team is made up of a roster of 100 players and 10 coaches deemed "the greatest" at their respective positions. NFL Network is unveiling the roster over six-weeks. A 26-person voting panel made up of coaches, team executives, former players, and members of the media are deciding who makes it onto the NFL 100 All-Time Team.
The other nine coaches named to the NFL 100 All-Time Team are Bill Belichick, Paul Brown, Joe Gibbs, George Halas, Curly Lambeau, Tom Landry, Vince Lombardi, Chuck Noll, and Don Shula.
