The Seattle Seahawks are open to a reunion with Marshawn Lynch following injuries to their running backs group. The five-time Pro Bowler plans to travel to Seattle today to discuss the possibility, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Running back Chris Carson suffered a hip injury and C.J. Prosise broke his arm during Seattle's loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

The Seahawks are preparing for a Week 17 showdown against the San Francisco 49ers with the NFC West crown on the line. The two teams kick off on Sunday, December 29, at 5:20 p.m. PT.

The Buffalo Bills made Lynch, who played college football at California, the No. 12 overall selection in 2007. He has not played football since the 2018 season and carried the football 90 times for 376 yards with three rushing touchdowns while adding 15 receptions for 84 yards through six starts with the Oakland Raiders that season.

Lynch has 10,379 rushing yards on 2,441 attempts with 84 rushing touchdowns through his 11 NFL seasons. He spent six seasons (2010-15) with the Seahawks.
