San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan wasn't sure if he would call Sunday night's performance against the Seattle Seahawks Jimmy Garoppolo's best game of the season. He noted that his quarterback's game against the New Orleans Saints was pretty impressive too.

"Today was a close second," Shanahan said after the 49ers' 26-21 win at CenturyLink Field.

Pro Football Focus believes otherwise.

Garoppolo's performance against the Seahawks was his highest-graded game of the season. While he didn't throw a touchdown pass, the quarterback went 18-of-22 for 285 yards and a passer rating of 118.8.

Garoppolo finished the 2019 season with 3,978 passing yards. That total ranks fourth all-time among 49ers quarterbacks in franchise history.

Garoppolo's 90.1 overall grade was the second-highest of his career. He earned a 91.9 grade during Week 2 of the 2016 season while with the New England Patriots.

Garoppolo wasn't the highest-graded player from Sunday night's game, though. That honor goes to tight end George Kittle, who earned a 94.1 grade. In fact, three 49ers — Kittle, Garoppolo, and wide receiver Deebo Samuel — all graded higher than any single Seahawks player.
