The 49ers are preparing to host the Packers on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game at Levi's Stadium, and are one win away from making Sanders' expectations a reality.
"Right now, these guys are healthy," Sanders said Monday on NFL Network. "They have a commitment to just dominance, stopping the run, as well as defending the pass. They have one hole [at cornerback]. They've got to figure that out in the secondary, opposite Richard Sherman. The rest is Super Bowl bound. If they can get that figured out, they're Super Bowl bound.
"This team, collectively, they can throw the ball, they have an outstanding tight end, they can run the football effectively, and (Jimmy) Garoppolo is not making dumb mistakes. He's really handling the offense, and they've got a coach (in Kyle Shanahan) that can dial it up offensively and defensively."
Sanders was asked where this 49ers squad ranks among the four remaining playoff teams.
"Offensively, defensively, the run, special teams, everything, they're number one, top to bottom," Sanders responded.
Sanders spent the 1994 season with the 49ers on the way to winning a title in Super Bowl XXIX and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
