San Francisco 49ers passing-game coordinator and defensive backs coach, Joe Woods, is Super Bowl-bound. After that, he is Cleveland-bound. The Cleveland Browns have their targets set on the 49ers assistant to be their new defensive coordinator, and now have to wait another two weeks to hire Woods.

That's the plan, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski doesn't seem to be in a hurry and is comfortable waiting for Woods to finish out his one-year contract with the 49ers, which could end with a Lombardi Trophy.

Stefanski and Woods spent eight seasons together as assistants in Minnesota from 2006 through 2013.

San Francisco knocked off the Green Bay Packers on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game to advance to Super Bowl LIV, where it will play the Kansas City Chiefs. The game will take place on Sunday, February 2. After that, the Browns can swoop in and get their guy.
