Gore, who played this past season with the Buffalo Bills, hopes so too. He remains fond of the organization that made him a third-round draft pick out of the University of Miami in 2005, and on Monday responded to a tweet by Staley.
I guess we know which team Gore will be pulling for on Super Bowl Sunday.
Staley and Gore were teammates for eight seasons in San Francisco. This past season, his 15th in the NFL, Gore climbed to No. 3 on the all-time career rushing yards list, surpassing Barry Sanders and behind only Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton.
