Tuesday is the players' typical day off, so fullback Kyle Juszczyk joined 95.7 The Game and previewed the Super Bowl Sunday matchup with the Chiefs.
"I think it's important to enjoy that moment (winning the NFC Championship Game), so we definitely did," Juszczyk said on the Joe, Lo and Dibs show. "We enjoyed that night. But first look to Kansas City, you see an extremely talented football team. We're going to have our hands full.
"Patrick Mahomes, arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Their defense started playing very well toward the second half of the season, so we know we're going to, like I said, have our hands full.
"We're going to dive into it a lot more tomorrow, so I'd be able to give you a little more detailed answer tomorrow but I'm excited for the matchup."
The media blitz begins after the team arrives in Miami. It will be a week of interview obligations for both teams as they promote the big game, so it's important to get the bulk of the work done this week. That's what the 49ers are doing.
The coaching staff got to work on Monday morning, as it always does after a game, on planning for its next opponent.
"We try to do everything before," head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Monday. "We definitely know that we have the whole week when we get there, but there's different media obligations that get you out of your routine and everything. You don't want to play catch up at the end of a Super Bowl week. You want to do that now."
