The Ravens made Henry a fourth-round draft pick out of Michigan in 2016, and he spent three seasons with the team before landing on injured reserve on October 23, 2018. Baltimore released him on August 30, 2019.
Henry racked up 36 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and five passes defensed in three seasons with the Ravens.
Henry is the fifth player the 49ers have signed to a reserve/futures contract this month. The team also signed defensive end Jonathan Kongbo, defensive back Derrick Kindred, defensive back Chris Edwards, and tackle Leonard Wester.
A reserve/futures contract keeps a player tied to a team but doesn't go into effect until the start of the new league year.
