Richard Sherman was asked this week if he would visit the White House should the San Francisco 49ers win Super Bowl LIV and receive an invitation.

"I haven't thought about it," Sherman told the San Francisco Chronicle. "We've got a long way between now and then, but I doubt it."

That prompted the question to be asked of 49ers CEO Jed York. Would he be willing to have the 49ers visit the White House, should they win? He's not looking too far ahead just yet, though. They have to beat the Kansas City Chiefs first. York, however, would welcome the opportunity and hopes his 49ers are in a position to get that phone call from the White House. It would, after all, mean they are the Super Bowl champions.

"We have to get to that point," York said via Matt Barrows of The Athletic and Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group. "For me, personally, I respect the office of the President. I'm not going to get into politics. I hope that we have the decision to make. I hope we're fortunate enough to get a call from the President."

The 49ers held their final full practice of the week today and will board a plane bound for Miami on Sunday. They will face the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV one week after that, on Sunday, February 2, from Hard Rock Stadium.
