Samuel just wants to get to Sunday so he can play some football. All this extra stuff this week, it's just making the wait drag.
"I'm very excited," Samuel said on Wednesday. "I wish the game were tomorrow, honestly."
Samuel's responses to questions, like Bosa's, are brief and to the point. Bring up Emmanuel Sanders' name, though, and Samuel opens up to gush about the veteran receiver who joined the 49ers via a mid-season trade.
The rookie wideout was asked about Sanders and what he has brought to the team. His response was, by far, the longest of the day.
"Emmanuel wants to be old so bad," Samuel said with a smile across his face. "He kind of says that me and [Kendrick Bourne] and the other receivers keep him young. But me personally, I just think that he be on the same vibe we on.
"Ever since he's been here, you can see kind of things changed a little bit. We kind of got like a true vet in the room. He's been in the league so long, played in Super Bowls. Kind of like the knowledge that he passed down to us, we kind of don't have a choice but to listen to him."
Shifting from Sanders' impact on the receiver room, Samuel went on to share how the veteran has helped him, personally.
"In tremendous ways for his film study, and game planning, and extra studying and stuff," Samuel said.
The group has fun together. You can see that on the field. You can see it on the sidelines. Sanders called the 49ers' receiving corps the "swaggiest" in the league.
"I just think we just go out there and have a ball," Samuel said. "Whenever we in between the white lines, we know it's time to lock in."
