Then Williams returned to the field to celebrate the Super Bowl win, the Chiefs' first in 50 years, with his teammates. Maybe in the coming days, we'll learn what Williams told Mostert.
For the 49ers, it will be a long offseason, thinking about what could have been. Now, the team shifts its focus toward improving so it might compete again next season.
