Ethan Westbrooks' time with the San Francisco 49ers lasted two days. The veteran defensive lineman was signed to a one-year deal on Wednesday and then released on Friday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The St. Louis Rams signed Westbrooks as an undrafted free agent out of West Texas A&M on May 13, 2014. He spent a month last offseason with the Oakland Raiders but was released on August 31, 2019.

Westbrooks (6-4, 287) did not play during a 2019 regular-season game.

Westbrooks has recorded 79 tackles, nine sacks, three passes defensed, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in 67 games during his five NFL seasons, all with the Rams.
