We're happy to report that Marquise Goodwin and his wife, Morgan, welcomed their first child into the world this week.
As fans know, the Goodwins suffered through the heartbreaking loss of a child in 2017, and then had to endure the pain again in 2018, so it's wonderful to see the family enjoying the blessings of a successful birth and fulfill their dream of becoming parents.
Goodwin joined the 49ers in 2017. The receiver landed on injured reserve on December 10, 2019, after appearing on practice participation reports with knee and foot injuries. He hauled in just 12 receptions for 186 yards with a touchdown through nine games and six starts with the 49ers this past season — his third with the team.
Goodwin is signed through the 2021 season after agreeing to a three-year extension in 2018.
Update: Goodwin shared that his new addition is a baby girl. Her name is Marae Goodwin, who was born on February 19 at 7:48 a.m. She weighed five pounds, 13 ounces.
