During each week leading to the draft, we will look at a collection of mock drafts from various sources and compile a list of the top prospects projected to head to the 49ers.
The San Francisco 49ers own two first-round picks in next month's draft. They have their own at No. 31, but also acquired the No. 13 overall pick from the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for defensive tackle DeForest Buckner.
We surveyed 47 popular mock drafts this week for our first roundup and tallied which prospects are the most popular choices for the 49ers at each spot in the first round.
The mock drafts include big-name sites from ESPN and NFL.com to smaller independent sites.
The majority of the mock drafts have San Francisco selecting a wide receiver with their first pick, with the most popular projection being CeeDee Lamb of Oklahoma, following by Jerry Jeudy of Alabama. It is worth noting that as of this post, several mock drafts didn't have a selection for the 49ers at No. 13 because of the trade being too recent.
