The Minnesota Vikings announced on Wednesday that they have signed former San Francisco 49ers defensive end Anthony Zettel, an unrestricted free agent.

San Francisco signed Zettel, 27, to a one-year deal on December 23, 2019, after he was waived by the Cincinnati Bengals six days earlier.

The Detroit Lions made Zettel a sixth-round selection out of Penn State in 2016. He registered six combined tackles through five games with the 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals in 2019.

Zettel has recorded 76 combined tackles, 7.5 sacks, and a forced fumble through his four NFL seasons. He also spent one season, 2017, with the Cleveland Browns.
