The San Francisco 49ers held a pre-draft interview with San Diego State cornerback Luqman Barcoo, according to Justin Melo of USA Today's Draft Wire. The Niners were one of more than 20 teams to virtually meet with the defender, per the report.

Melo notes that the 49ers are among the teams that have shown the most interest in Barcoo. The others are the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, and Kansas City Chiefs.

Pre-draft interviews are being held virtually over video chat software as the NFL continues to observe social distancing. Members of the team staff are conducting these interviews, along with other draft preparations, remotely from their homes. Conversations with draft prospects can't last more than an hour, with no more than three with a single player per week.

The NFL Draft starts in one week.

Barcoo (6-1, 170) recorded 75 tackles, five for a loss, 10 interceptions, 20 passes defensed, and half a sack in two seasons with the Aztecs. Most of that stat total came during his senior year in 2019 when he racked up 55 tackles, nine interceptions, and 16 passes defensed. His interception total last year tied FAU's Meiko Dotson for the Division I lead.
