NFL Media analyst Brian Baldinger posted a fantastic tribute on Twitter to recently-retired offensive tackle Joe Staley. Within the video, Baldinger applauds Staley's on-the-field efforts over the years, noting the many times he could be seen running downfield to deliver a game-changing block, and how he would often be among the first players to meet a scoring teammate in the end zone.

"The effort down the field was unsurpassed," Baldinger said.

The analyst notes how consistent Staley was in run and pass blocking over his 13 NFL seasons, whether the 49ers were good or not.

"Joe Staley retires after 13 years, 181 starts, not counting the postseason," Baldinger adds. "But I know this, and everybody that knows Joe Staley knows this as well: Whatever Joe Staley does next in life — he's only 35 years old — you can guarantee that he's going to have a smile on his face, a zest for life, and he's going to be skipping into the next step of his life."
