One of those players was wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who had been training in Houston, Texas, before this week. He suffered a Jones fracture in his left foot on Tuesday. NFL insider Ian Rapoport estimated 12 to 16 weeks of recovery time, but Samuel says it will be closer to 10.
The Nashville area was chosen because several 49ers players spent their offseasons there, including tight end George Kittle, quarterback C.J. Beathard, and wide receivers Trent Taylor and rookie Jauan Jennings.
Matt Barrows of The Athletic provided a list of the 49ers players taking part — or in Samuel's case, that were taking part — in this week's sessions.
