Wright, 30, has eight years of NFL experience. San Francisco could be looking at its options with training camp scheduled to start in a couple of weeks.
The Minnesota Vikings made Wright a fourth-round selection out of Arkansas in 2012. He registered 28 receptions for 296 yards through 16 games with the Carolina Panthers in 2019.
Wright has caught 224 passes for 2,782 yards with 11 touchdowns through his NFL career.
