It wasn't even the real Garoppolo and Kittle.
The two were represented by cardboard cutouts, which will become permanent residents for this season, replacing fans in Oracle Park's seats. Garoppolo's and Kittle's were shown off among a group of other Bay Area celebrities. Between the two is the cutout of rapper E-40.
Kittle made the following comment via twitter regarding his proximity to the 49ers quarterback (h/t to Marcus White of NBC Sports).
The two won't stay that close, though. The Giants plan to spread these cutouts throughout the stadium. They, like other Major League Baseball teams, are selling these types of items to fans, and those fans can even pick which of the Bay Area celebrities they wish to sit near.
Fans are not allowed to be in attendance for Major League Baseball games this season due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Giants opened their season with an 8-1 loss at Dodger Stadium.
