San Francisco 49ers tight end Ross Dwelley has missed the last two practices.

"Foot was bothering him," head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Saturday without offering more information.

Veteran Jordan Reed still has yet to make his practice debut. The 49ers are easing him back in after the tight end missed all of last season due to the symptoms of a concussion.

San Francisco worked out two tight ends on Sunday — Caleb Repp and Erik Swoope — according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.

Repp is a rookie out of Utah State who was recently released by the Atlanta Falcons while Swoope has been in the league since 2014. The latter didn't play last season, though.

Swoope's best statistical season came in 2016 when he caught 15 passes for 297 yards with a touchdown.
