San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said on Sunday that wide receiver Deebo Samuel "has a shot" to play this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals. Lynch said something similar about three other players' chances of practicing on Wednesday. They are Brandon Aiyuk, Ben Garland, and Kyle Juszczyk, who have each been hindered by injuries.

"Hopeful," Lynch said Sunday morning of their chances to get on the practice field. "They're out here as we speak training and working really hard. I think on Wednesday, the first injury report comes. But those guys are all working and have a chance, so we'll see where it goes."

All three players suffered their injuries during training camp. Garland sustained an ankle injury on August 18, Aiyuk, a hamstring injury on August 23, and the 49ers reported Juszczyk's hamstring injury on August 27.

The 49ers will host the Cardinals at Levi's Stadium in six days. Players are scheduled to practice later today, have Tuesday off, and then return on Wednesday to kick off three more practices before the weekend.
