Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will miss his second consecutive game after suffering an ankle injury during Week 2. That means another start for Nick Mullens, who filled in well for the injured starter this past weekend against the New York Giants.
"If Jimmy could have played this week, he'd be out there," head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Friday.
Running back Raheem Mostert (knee) and linebacker Dre Greenlaw (quadricep), like Garoppolo, did not practice this week and will each miss his second consecutive game. Also ruled out are cornerbacks Emmanuel Moseley (concussion) and Ahkello Witherspoon (hamstring).
The good news is that the 49ers offense will have tight end George Kittle (knee) and wide receiver Deebo Samuel on the football field against the Eagles. Both made it through a full week's worth of practices and Shanahan said on Friday that both will play.
Samuel is returning from a Jones fracture suffered in June and still needs to be activated to the 53-man roster. Expect that to happen on Saturday.
Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Eagles, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff. Also included are Friday's practice participation reports.
