Both players were limited on Wednesday. As fullback Kyle Juszczyk explained during a Wednesday interview on 95.7 The Game, that could mean either the players don't participate in team drills or their involvement is light.
It sounded like both Garoppolo and Mostert were at least a little involved during Wednesday's team drills.
"I can't tell you how nice it was today to have [Jimmy Garoppolo and Raheem Mostert], especially, in the huddle with us," Juszczyk said. "Shoot, I got in the huddle today, I had George (Kittle) on my right, I had Deebo (Samuel) on my left, Jimmy and Raheem across from me, and that's good feeling. I haven't had that in a while."
Neither Garoppolo nor Mostert has played since Week 2 when the quarterback suffered a high-ankle sprain and the running back sustained an MCL sprain.
Safety Jimmie Ward was back on the practice field after missing Wednesday's session due to a wrist injury. Head coach Kyle Shanahan didn't sound overly concerned about the injury and stated that the team just wanted to examine it further.
Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley appears to still be in the concussion protocol and wasn't seen practicing with his teammates.
The 49ers will release their official injury and practice participation report in a few hours.
