Pro Football Focus released its grades from Sunday's game, and running back Raheem Mostert earned the highest marks for either team from the analytics site.
Mostert returned after missing two weeks due to an MCL sprain and rushed for 90 yards on 11 carries.
Much of the 49ers offensive line, surprisingly, graded well. Tackles Trent Williams and Mike McGlinchey received a boost from strong run-blocking grades. According to Pro Football Focus, the team's best pass blocker ended up being tight end George Kittle.
49ers quarterbacks didn't grade well, however. Both Jimmy Garoppolo and C.J. Beathard earned the lowest marks on offense.
Garoppolo finished the game 7-of-17 for 77 yards with two interceptions and a passer rating of 15.7 during his disastrous half of play. Beathard replaced him in the second half and was 9-of-18 for 94 yards with a touchdown. The Dolphins defense sacked the two quarterbacks a combined five times.
Understandably, the 49ers player who received the lowest grade of the game was cornerback Brian Allen, who was activated off the practice squad on Saturday. Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was 5-of-6 for 124 yards, a touchdown, and a passer rating of 158.3 while targeting Allen before the 49ers benched the struggling defensive back.
