The San Francisco 49ers announced several roster moves ahead of tonight's game against the Green Bay Packers. Among them is placing quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and tight end George Kittle on injured reserve. Both players were injured on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. Garoppolo suffered an ankle injury while Kittle sustained a foot injury.

The 49ers also officially activated tight end Jordan Reed off of injured reserve. He suffered an MCL sprain and ankle injury during Week 3.

San Francisco activated two wide receivers from its practice squad, including former Chicago Bears first-round pick Kevin White. They will join the team's two other available wide receivers — Trent Taylor and Richie James Jr.

The 49ers are short on players at the position after Kendrick Bourne tested positive for COVID-19. He was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel, and tackle Trent Williams, joined him after being identified as players who were in close contact with Bourne. Samuel, however, had already been ruled out for tonight's game.
