It's starting to look like wide receiver Deebo Samuel will miss another game. He is dealing with a hamstring injury and did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan had hoped to get him onto the practice field on Thursday after the team had a chance to re-evaluate his injury.
Wide receiver Trent Taylor (back), who missed Wednesday's practice, was back on the field.
Cornerback Richard Sherman continues to work his way back from injured reserve. The 49ers opened his practice window this week. While a Week 12 return remains the most likely scenario, the team has not ruled out the possibility of Sherman playing this weekend.
Shanahan said on KNBR that wide receiver River Cracraft is dealing with a quad contusion.
"But unfortunately, River Cracraft, out there on Wednesday, got a quad contusion," Shanahan said, "and he'll probably go all the way up to game time, whether he can play or not."
Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Saints, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
