Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes leads the fan portion of Pro Bowl voting. He's followed by Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. That probably won't come as a surprise to many.

What might be surprising is that just one San Francisco 49ers player is among those leading by position. That would be fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who is obviously deserving. But what about the others?

Yes, the 49ers are 4-6 and may not be able to stack enough wins down the stretch to sneak into the playoffs, but some names are deserving.

The first name that comes to mind is probably star linebacker Fred Warner, who leads the team in tackles. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently called Warner the best linebacker in the game.

"Ain't nobody better. There really isn't," Rodgers told Warner after the two teams met during Week 9. "You're the best, and everybody knows it. The film don't lie. You should be All-Pro."

Then you have Jason Verrett, who has been one of the best cornerbacks in the league this season, according to Pro Football Focus. Trent Williams is the analytics site's second-highest graded offensive tackle.

While the 49ers' record may ultimately hurt players' chances of being honored with Pro Bowl selections, there is still time for the Niner Faithful to change that.
