Safety Jimmie Ward ended up as Pro Football Focus' highest-graded player from Sunday's matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams. His 94.7 overall grade was his highest of the season. In fact, it was the highest of his career.

The high marks earned Ward a spot on Pro Football Focus' Team of the Week or Week 12.

Ward finished Sunday's game with five tackles, a pass defensed, and two forced fumbles. The first forced fumble came when the 49ers safety stripped Rams running back Malcolm Brown in the first half. The other was after Ward collided with Jared Goff, causing the quarterback to cough up the football.

According to Pro Football Focus, Ward gave up just three receptions for 16 yards on eight targets, and Goff owned a 45.8 quarterback rating on passes thrown his way.

Ward is in his seventh NFL season. The 49ers selected the defensive back out of Northern Illinois with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2014 draft. He has compiled 51 tackles, four passes defensed, and two forced fumbles through 10 game appearances this season.
