The San Francisco 49ers announced several roster moves ahead of their Sunday road matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. The team has activated linebacker Mark Nzeocha from the injured reserve list. San Francisco placed him on injured reserve on September 30 due to a quad injury.

The 49ers added tight end Charlie Woerner to the reserve/COVID-19 list.

The team also activated/flexed the following three players from the practice squad as COVID-19 replacements.

The 49ers now have the following three players on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

The reserve/COVID-19 list has been created for a player who tests positive for COVID-19 or has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons. If a player falls into either of these categories, his club is required to immediately place the player on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Clubs are not permitted to comment on a player's medical status other than referring to the roster status and may not disclose whether the player is in quarantine or is positive for COVID-19.

Offensive line coach John Benton is expected to miss his second consecutive game after testing positive for COVID-19 on December 13.
