Newly-signed quarterback Josh Rosen was on the field for his first practice with the 49ers, joining Saturday's starter, C.J. Beathard, and Jimmy Garoppolo. The 49ers opened the practice window for Garoppolo on Tuesday but he is not expected to play against the Cardinals. Rosen will serve as Beathard's backup with practice squad quarterback Josh Johnson on the COVID-19 list.
Cornerback Richard Sherman and defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw were among six players who did not practice. Three of those six, however, won't play again this season. Running back Raheem Mostert, quarterback Nick Mullens, and wide receiver Deebo Samuel will be placed on injured reserve due to their respective injuries.
Defensive end Dion Jordan and safety Tarvarius Moore, who did not practice on Tuesday, were limited on Wednesday.
Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Cardinals, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
