Linebacker Fred Warner feels that this past season's adversity made him and his teammates stronger and believes the 49ers will bounce back better for it in 2021.
"It was a lot of adversity (this season), and I'm just so proud of the group and the way we fought, obviously," Warner told reporters after Sunday's 26-23 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. "You can use any excuse you want to give to the type of season we had, but we've obviously got to perform better, and we didn't.
"It wasn't the season we wanted, but now we can just put it behind us, learn from it, and get ready for the 2021 season. I'm so looking forward to this offseason, and giving everything I've got to make sure I come back 10 times better than I was this year."
Warner wasn't the only one to praise the job the 49ers did this season, adversity and all. Running back Raheem Mostert, who has been sidelined due to an ankle injury, shared how proud he is of his teammates and one of his quarterbacks.
