San Francisco 49ers teammates have been calling the young star linebacker "All-Pro Fred" for some time. Now, it is official. Fred Warner has finally been named a first-team All-Pro by the Associated Press.

Warner, 24, also earned his first Pro Bowl selection this past season. Additionally, he earned the 49ers' top team-issued awards for his contributions this past season — the Len Eshmont Award and the Bill Walsh Award.

"It's a huge honor," Warner said last month of his Pro Bowl selection. "That's one of those things where you come into the league and have individual goals that you set for yourself. And so to be able to check one of those off is huge, and I think any individual accolades in this league is always a team award."

The 49ers made Warner a third-round selection out of BYU in 2018. He registered a team-leading 125 tackles, five tackles for a loss, a sack, six passes defensed, two interceptions, and a forced fumble through 16 games with the 49ers in 2020, per Pro Football Reference. Warner has recorded 367 tackles, four sacks, 21 passes defensed, three interceptions, a touchdown, and five forced fumbles through his three NFL seasons.

"Ain't nobody better," Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers told Warner after the two teams faced each in November. "There really isn't. You're the best, and everybody knows it. The film don't lie. You should be All-Pro."

Warner becomes the first 49ers defender to be named a first-team All-Pro since linebacker NaVorro Bowman did so in 2015.
