Saleh, San Francisco's former defensive coordinator, has been working to build his coaching staff in New York. That included former 49ers assistants Mike LaFleur, who will serve as his offensive coordinator, and John Benton, who will serve as the offensive line coach.
Scangarello left the 49ers after the 2018 season to become the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos. He served as an assistant with the Philadelphia Eagles this past season.
Before his two-year stint as the 49ers' quarterbacks coach from 2017-18, Scangarello spent time as an assistant with the Atlanta Falcons and Oakland Raiders. He is credited as the coach most responsible for getting Jimmy Garoppolo up to speed on the offense after San Francisco traded for the quarterback in 2017.
