Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that defensive backs coach Tony Oden is leaving the San Francisco 49ers after just one season with the team, joining head coach Robert Saleh's staff with the New York Jets. Oden will serve as a senior defensive assistant/cornerbacks coach with his new team.

The 49ers hired Oden in February of last year. He replaced Joe Woods, who departed to become the defensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns.

Oden, 47, has 17 years of NFL coaching experience. He spent time in various roles with the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit Lions, and Miami Dolphins before joining the 49ers under Kyle Shanahan and Saleh, who was the team's defensive coordinator for the past four seasons.

The 49ers recently hired Cory Undlin to serve as the team's pass-game specialist and secondary coach.
