Tremble caught 35 passes for 401 yards with four touchdowns in two seasons with the Fighting Irish. That includes 19 catches for 218 yards through 12 games as a junior in 2020. He is the son of former NFL safety Greg Tremble.
There won't be an NFL Scouting Combine this season, but Notre Dame prospects will be able to showcase their talents during the school's pro day on March 31.
Melo reported earlier that the 49ers were among the teams in consistent contact with Miami tight end Brevin Jordan, so they could be searching for a playmaker to complement All-Pro tight end George Kittle.
NFL teams are allowed to conduct up to five video calls per prospect leading to the draft, and each call can last up to one hour. There is no limit to how many phone conversations NFL teams can conduct with draft-eligible players.
The 2021 NFL Draft is scheduled to begin on April 29.
