The San Francisco 49ers plan to work out former Baltimore Ravens safety Tony Jefferson this week, per a report from Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. The defender suffered a torn ACL during Week 5 of the 2019 season and has not played since. He will undergo a physical while visiting the team in Santa Clara.

The Ravens released Jefferson on February 14, 2020.


The Arizona Cardinals signed Jefferson as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma in 2013. He registered 21 tackles and three passes defensed through his five games in 2019, per Pro Football Reference.

Jefferson, 29, has recorded 451 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 22 passes defensed, four interceptions, a touchdown, and eight forced fumbles through his seven NFL seasons.
