On Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network dropped a bombshell. It was news that had already been rumored, but the story means more when the longtime NFL insider reports it. Rapoport stated that the decision in the 49ers clubhouse has come down to two candidates — Jones and Lance.

The news has created a shift among betting odds. Jones remains the favorite. He is now following by Lance. Fields comes in a more distant third place.
