Peacock announced today that it is developing a docuseries on the life and career of Hall of Fame quarterback and San Francisco 49ers legend Joe Montana (h/t to Patrick Tulini for the find). NFL Films is producing the series.

"Montana will participate in the series, which will chronicle his career from high school to Notre Dame to the NFL, where he won four Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers," wrote Alex Weprin of The Hollywood Reporter. "The series will also feature interviews with celebrities, former teammates, coaches, and mentees of Montana."

The 49ers made Montana a third-round draft pick out of Notre Dame in 1979. In addition to his four Super Bowl wins, the quarterback was a three-time Super Bowl MVP, a two-time league MVP, and a three-time first-team All-Pro during his 14 years with San Francisco.

Montana finished his NFL career by playing two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was named to eight Pro Bowls during his 16 NFL seasons.

A release date for the series has not yet been announced.
